Canon MP258 Printer Driver

Hi and good day. In this entry I want to share on how to enable printing in Linux and Windows.

Linux

*only applicable to Linux based on Debian distro

1. Download the package from HERE

2. Open it you able to open it otherwise extract it first

3. Browse into 'packages' folder

4. Run/install both 'cnijfilter-common...' and 'cnijfilter-mp250series...' that suits your operating system version

eg: if you're on 32bit version, install both 'cnijfilter-common_3.40-1_i386.deb' AND 'cnijfilter-        mp250series_3.40-1_i386.deb'

eg: if you're on 64bit version, install both 'cnijfilter-common_3.40-1_amd64.deb' AND 'cnijfilter-mp250series_3.40-1_amd64.deb'

*if you're not sure which OS version you're running, then it's most likely the 32bit version

Microsoft Windows

*applicable for 

• Windows 7
• Windows 7 (x64)
• Windows Vista
• Windows Vista (x64)
• Windows XP
• Windows 2000

1. Download the installer from HERE

2. Install as usual

For Windows XP 64bit version

1. Download from HERE

2. Install as usual
