Cara Repair Video GoPro Yang Corrupt

Solution: Double Scrollbar Problem in Google Chrome Browser

Have you guys updated your Google Chrome browser only to found out there is a bug with scrollbar?

Recently, I've downloaded the Google Chrome and found out that on certain websites, the scrollbar becomes doubled (see picture below).

For me, it is quite annoying because I had to put my cursor on the right scrollbar AND leveled with the left scrollbar. Or to be exact, everything (checkbox, submit button etc2) I have to click a little bit to the right.

Fortunately, with a bit of Googling, I've found a way to solve this.

1. Open up your Google Chrome browser. Point the address bar to "chrome://plugins"
2. Find a Flash plugin that named as "pepflashplayer.dll". If you installed a lot of olugins and having some trouble finding it, press "Ctrl + F" and find the plugin name mentioned before.
3. And then click "Disable". Restart the Chrome and try whether it works. It works for me by the way :)

How To Gather/Extract Files From Many Folders Into a Single Folder

Imagine you have multiple or even hundreds of folder and within each folder there are files. You want to gather all these files into a single folder. Obviously you can copy/paste, drag/drop one file at a time. But it is only make sense if it involve below 10 folders. But for hundreds of folders, it is time consuming. However, there is a way to do it. The quick, simple way.

Shutter Speed vs. FPS

Before this, I have a problem understanding the differences between shutter speed and frame per seconds while recording video in DSLR. So, I assumed it's not important. IT IS differs and important especially when you want to record fast moving action.

In short:
Shutter speed: How much each frame is exposed to the light source.
FPS: How many frames are recorded each seconds

See the details explanation below.

Thanks.

Change the Google Chrome User Agent

So you're browsing using google chrome in public places such as libraries, universities, cafe, etc2. The internet speed is very slow. One way to overcome is to change the user chrome user agent so you can reduce amount of data need to be transferred. User agent is software (a software agent) that is acting on behalf of a us (Wikipedia, 2012). How to change it? Here's how.

How To Read Tyre Sidewall Information

Lets take tyre below as a sample:

We'll take each value and see what it's all about
  • 205 - measures the tyre width in milimeters.
  • 55 - aspect ratio or height of the tyre itself from the width. Shown here is 55 means 55% from 205. We use this value to determine tyre profile. Low profile or high profile tyre.
  • R - Radial construction tyre. More info about radial tyre head to HERE
    • Click Here for other tyre types.
  • 16 - diameter of inner rim in inches.
  • 91 - Load rating of the tyre. See table below for full load rating. This number indicating the maximum load in KG that the tyre could withstand at the speed rating(see speed rating)
  • V - Speed rating. It indicates the maximum speed the tyre can withstand in conjunction with Load rating. See the speed rating table below.

D-Link DIR-615: Flashing To DD-WRT Firmware

This entry is about my experience flashing a router. If you decide to do it too, bear in mind that flashing any device with unofficial firmware/software will result in void of warranty. I held no responsibility for any mishaps due to your flashing activity.

I decided to flash my DLink router from original firmware to DD-WRT firmware. The reason why I want to do this is due to fact that the original firmware provided by DLink miserable for example: I can't access the router whenever it's disconnected from the internet, I'm having frequent wireless disconnectivity, slowdown and so on.

So, the DD-WRT is:
I quote from DD-WRT.com
"DD-WRT is a third party developed firmware released under the terms of the GPL for many ieee802.11a/b/g/h/n wireless routers
based on a Broadcom or Atheros chip reference design.
The firmware is maintained by BrainSlayer and is hosted at dd-wrt.com. ....."

So, let's begin. Things we're gonna need is:
1. A compatible router - log into your router web interface(typically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and find hardware revision and also firmware version. Alternatively, you can take a look on the bottom of your router. Write somewhere these two things.

Then, point your browser to: List of supported device
and look whether your router is compatible with dd-wrt firmware. In my case, the router id DLink DIR-615 and hardware revision is: E4 in other words "I CAN CONTINUE"..yeah..
2. LAN cable. Strictly don't flashing a router wirelessly.
3. Computer..of course!
4. Original firmware. In case something goes wrong. We'll also gonna extract magic hardware code in original firmware. In my case, it's available to download: Go directly to download E3/E4 original firmware
4. DD-WRT firmware. Once you sure that your router is compatible(see step 1), proceed by clicking a link provided and follow the procedure to download. If you opt to use their guide, print the guide first.
5. Hex editor. In DD-WRT guide they suggest using emacs but I prefer HHD Hex Editor NEO.

Let actually begin.
1. Open the original firmware using hex editor. Find the magic hardware code usually located at the very bottom of the file. Copy the magic hardware code.
2. Continue from 1, paste the magic hardware code into dd-wrt firmware file. Again, look out at the very bottom of the file. Then, save the file.

3. Alright, once the ddwrt firmware is ready, connect your computer to router using LAN cable. Wait until your PC get its IP.
If that's not happenning, try reset the router(see manual for this) and set your computer to static IP eg: 192.168.0.2. Never use 192.168.0.1 since this is default IP the router going to use.
4. Point your browser to router web interface(192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1), go to "Tools" -> "Firmware".
Click the "Browse" button and select the ddwrt firmware that you have edit early. Continue by click the "Update" button.

5. A status page will appear. In my case, I wait for about 10 minutes and it didnt direct me to anywhere so I just turn off the router and on back again(this should not need to be done). Note that if you have chosen static IP early, kindly set the setting back to DHCP. Wait until the your computer is connected with the router.

6. It YEAY or NAY time, point to 192.168.1.1 on your web browser. If you lucky, you will see DDWRT firmware new interface. That shows that you have succesfully install new firmware. But if nothing, it's PROBABLY BRICKED.

Here's is some interface from ddwrt firmware.

Verdict
1. Fast indeed. Webpage/video loading time is greatly reduced. My brother and father also feels that.
2. Full of features. Yep. So many features they managed to pack into this amazing firmware.
and so on...

Ok, that's all for my entry now. I will try to write new entry about how Im configuring the new DD-WRT firmware.
Bye2!! :)

Intel to AMD Transition

As per my previous entry where I talked about by rig burnt because of lightning surge, but now I just gotten a new rig(with help of sponsor of course:D).

It took me a week to figure out what kind of component to choose because it must fits my requirement which is:
-Cheap
-Preferably with integrated stuff
-got PCIe and PCI(for graphic card and wireless pci)

and at the end, I end up bought
-AMD Phenom II X4 840
-Asus M4A88T M-LE click here to see more info about this motherboard
-4GB DDR3
-Cooler Master 550W PSU (for RM150) -> bought this from Lowyat.net forumer..very cheap..contact me if you want to buy one :D
since my HDD and graphic card is still functioning, so I just use it back..

At first, I'm thinking to build Intel i3 rig but because AMD rig can offer better performance(hopefully) for a lesser buck and I would like to try AMD(i've never have AMD rig before), so I straightaway chose AMD rig like above.

Picture below taken during assembly progress

Motherboard box and the contents inside

full view of mobo

back panel of the mobo

AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz

everything is on its place and ready to fire up

My Verdict
-This is mini ATX motherboard..so, if I'm adding another RAM stick, I'll be hitting the wall already. Nothing much to upgrade with this mobo really
-I'm not fanboy ok. Since I've tried both AMD and Intel, this is what I came up with
+Intel - Quite pricey, so many socket type, smoother
+AMD - Cheap, socket is backward compatible, but not so smooth
-Many people says that AMD processor is running hotter that Intel bla3 but what I found is it's quite cooler than my previous processor(or perhaps it's not in the same league)

So, that is my entry for this time. The Asus serve me well till this time and most importantly it's bang for bucks.
But, if your have a bigger budget, consider choosing proper ATX motherboard for long term run.

Aztech DSL600EU Firmware Update

Warning: This update is applicable for used in Malaysia only. I'm not responsible for any loss before/during/after the update process. But if it done pr
operly, I'm pretty sure the modem will work just fine.

Check your modem brand and model. If you are using Aztech modem and the hot & famous model DSL600EU (this is modem+router-USB), then check your firmware version. If not, can ignore this post..kekeke

Check modem firmware version:
1. Access your modem web-based management page. By default it's '192.168.1.1'. Both username and password by default is 'admin'
2. Find the product information. There, look for firmware version of the modem.

The latest as this post is written is '62.53.2'. So, if your modem firmware version is lower AND start with 38.xx.x, it's recommended to update the firmware.

Why update firmware?
+faster internet
+better web management
+more features(lan isolation, etc2)

Update firmware:
To begin, download the required firmware image at: HERE. Unzip it and inside you'll find a PDF regarding the update procedure. Follow the instruction properly.

I've updated my modem and this is the print screen of the new firmware:

Happy updating.

Gone Android now..

Hello readers.

It's been quite some time I dont update anything in me blog. Bcoz dont have any idea or been busy with my study.

Anyway, as topic, now I'm officially migrate from Symbian OS to Android OS. Just bought Galaxy 5 as starting point and I quite like it. Feels comfortable in my hand even though it's quite small but that's ok. Just need some time to adapt.

Plus, even Facebook co-founder also gone Android this must be a good progress for Android OS to expand it territory since iOS(Apple) I think is already saturated.

Click picture to enlarge

Experience

So, my experience after using it for err...3 days. Like I said, it's quite interesting. I've been using Symbian OS for almost 5 years and now suddenly changing Android. Culture shock O.o

What I like most is the number of application you can direct download from Android Market. More than 100000 application you can choose. Try all you want till your phone out of memory. The market got free apps as well as paid apps too.

#1: Problem:- Can't log in to Android Market
The first time I want to login to Android Market, I get an error message something like;

"There is a temporary error or your sin card is not provisioned for data services"

So, I googled and stumble upon this website: Android Forum where a forummer suggest to do hard-reset phone(*2767*3855#) and it works. :)
More G5 Secret Code

#2: Software
There's a couple application I've tried and more to come. Below I think is the must-have-apps

ChompSMS - replace default messaging software. More intuative
Astro File Manager - file manager of course
Advanced Task Killer - task manager
Dolphing Browser - replace default Android browser. Support tabbed browsing
eBuddy - instant messenger
Abduction - interesting game. Uses accelerometer in-built.

Sources: 1 / 2

That's a little bit about my migration to Android. Will dig more what Android has to offer.

How to configure Aztech WL830RT4 and DSL600EU

Recently I saw a random user dont know how to configure the router(WL830RT4) to work with DSL600EU. Because I used to have these router and modem, so I decided to make tutorial on how to configure and make it works..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are two steps to do before you can surf the internet.
1. Configure the Aztech DSL600EU(Modem)
-Disable DHCP
-Set to bridge connection mode
2. Configure the Aztech WL830RT4
-Setup the PPPoE connection(key in username and password)

3. You need to know your streamyx username and password(try to remember it before do any steps below)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Configure the modem

1. Make a connection like this (Computer - Modem - Internet)

2. Go to gateway address. By default it is 192.168.1.1. Type it into the address bar in your web browser. Key in the username and password. By default it is admin for both username and password. Click the Setup tab and you will get into the page like the figure below.

3. Click on the DHCP configuration and then disable the DHCP server (Server and Relay Off). Click on 'Apple' then 'Save Settings'.

4. Back in "Setup", click on the 'Connection 0' and then set the 'Type' to "Bridge" mode.

5. This the next page. Don't change anything in there.

6. Click on 'Apply' then 'Save Settings'. Done!!You have just configure the modem succesfully
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, let's configure the wireless router.

1. Firstly, set your connection like this(Computer - Wireless router - Modem - Internet). It is recommended to use Ethernet rather than Wireless to configure the router. Refer to manual to specify which port to use.

2. Log in to "192.168.1.1". Key in username and password. About the same when we want to configure the modem.

3. Click on "Quick Setup" then next.

4. Choose PPPoE as your WAN connection type. Click 'Next'

5. Enter your Streamyx account name and password. Think hard!!. I took about 2 hours to remember these things when i want to configure the router for the first time.

6. Click next. Now, it's time to set up your wireless radio. Set wireless radio to enable. Specify the wireless name (SSID), region, channel(let it be the default) and the last one mode(802.11g is recommended). Click next.

7. Congratulations!!. You have just configured the Wireless router and the modem. Now, surf the internet with smile on your face... :-)
If you seem to have trouble after/while configure both of these, leave a comment or email me. I will try my best to answer your question. But before that, please make sure you follow exactly the steps. Don't skip any steps escpecially when configure the DHCP and Bridge mode. and, always save settings you've made.
Ok, thats all..PAPAI

Can't Surf the Internet While Using BitTorrent?

Hrm..Exacly after I installed Windows Vista Premium Edition, I can't surfing the internet while using the BitTorrent..I cant't load any page even my router page..So, what I do is restart my computer and then surf the internet back but this time WITHOUT running the torrent program(currently I'm using uTorrent)..

However, if I start the uTorrent while surfing..then I can't surf the internet again..Sigh..

Eventually..I discovered a way to solve this handy problem(actually)..But, one question first..are you using Nod32 antivirus..If yes, below maybe a steps to resolve this problem.

1)Open Nod32 Antivirus setup

2)Go to Antivirus and antispyware > Web access protection > HTTP > click on Web Browsers

3)In the box, encheck(red x) the uTorrent or any torrent client you currently using.

Because Nod32 assume the uTorrent as internet browser by dafault..so every incoming and outgoing data is checked thus create a performance or compatibility problem..
